Type: Voluntary (Trustee Role)

Time Commitment:  Attend trustee meeting 2 hours, Friday mornings once every 6 weeks. We are also looking for people to donate some additional time in their area of expertise.
 

Bring Your Expertise to a Charity that has been providing natural therapies for the Totnes community for 50 years.

Are you a professional either retired or with time on your hands, with a background in secretarial, financial, marketing, chair or fundraising roles? We are seeking a truly passionate and energetic Trustee to join our Committee and provide ideas and guidance for us to continue delivering affordable, holistic therapies to the local community.
 

About Us
Our charity has been a pillar of the community for over 50 years, providing accessible natural health therapies to individuals of all ages. With therapies ranging from acupuncture and massage to counselling and wellbeing support, we are committed to making health accessible and affordable for everyone.

The Role
As a Trustee, you will bring your expertise to help guide the charity in key areas including governance, financial oversight, fundraising strategy, and secretarial functions. You’ll work alongside other trustees and a Manager to ensure the charity continues to thrive, ensuring sustainability, compliance, and effective communication.

We will also be looking for someone to step into the Chairperson role in the forthcoming months.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Secretarial Experience: Ability to take minutes, maintain records, and assist with compliance

• Financial Expertise: Understanding of financial management, budgeting, and reporting

• Fundraising Experience: Ability to contribute to fundraising strategies and drive income generation

• A strong commitment to our mission of improving community health through natural therapies

• Enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork and strategic decision-making
