The Totnes
Natural Health Centre opened in 1978, and was the first centre of its kind
in the U.K. Its aim is to offer treatment and information about natural
therapies and all aspects of health and wholeness. Our work is directed
towards enabling people to mobilise their own capacity for self-healing, and
to take on responsibility for their health. We are a registered charity
number 279033.

The centre is
unique in that we offer treatments on a donation basis. All the therapists
who work at the centre give three hours of their time free, each week to see
patients. All that is asked for is a donation of £12 or £10 for those on
benefit, for any of the many types of therapy we offer. In addition to this,
every month a limited number of full treatments are available for a
suggested donation of £6. Please phone for which treatments are currently
available.
Everyone working at the centre abides by a Code of Ethics, assuring
confidentiality and offering a supportive and non-judgemental approach to
healing. We listen, and you can take your time. We are here for you as an
individual.
All our therapists are fully qualified members of their appropriate
professional bodies, and carry full indemnity insurance. You can arrange
private appointments by asking for details at reception. We employ a
part-time co-ordinator, and are grateful to all the people who act as
volunteer receptionists at the Centre. New helpers are always welcome.
In 1988 we had the good fortune to acquire spacious premises in a listed
Georgian building by the River Dart. A variety of pleasant rooms (with
kitchen facilities) can be hired at reasonable rates for classes, meetings
and workshops.

You can book
private sessions at other times. Fees vary and must be arranged with
individual practitioners. All our therapists are qualified members of their
appropriate professional bodies, and carry full indemnity insurance.
