EFT and Matrix Reimprinting

I Help People . . .
Physically – with; pain, abundance issues, weight loss, sports performance, chronic physical dis-ease, addiction
Emotionally – with; stress, fear, anger, phobias, depression, anxiety, mental health issues, creative blocks, behaviours/patterns, grief, relationships
Mentally – with; educational problems, dealing with limiting beliefs, concentration and focus
Spiritually – with; finding direction and purpose, managing spiritual awakening
…and much more. I can work with past-lives and future selves, and also enhance your work with the Law of Attraction.
What is EFT and Matrix Reimprinting?
It is very different from counselling or therapy. I don't work with the conscious mind, I work with the subconscious mind, with the programs that are beneath your conscious awareness that trigger you or make you act and behave in certain ways. I use and teach you tools and techniques that get to those particular programs and help you to change them really quickly and effectively with measurable results.

About Alexa - I began my healing journey back in 2001 when I took my first reiki degree. Since then I have built on my skills mostly through personally learning how to feel good whilst managing insulin dependent diabetes and bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder guided me towards EFT in 2006 and then matrix reimprinting in 2009, as I needed a hands on applicable tool that I could use at anytime, anywhere, by myself, to get me through the highs and lows, without medication. In Jan 2010 I trained in EFT and Matrix Reimrpinting with its founder Karl Dawson. The reason I can work with any of the above issues is because I specialise in DEEP LISTENING. I create a compassionate space of acceptance and always allow each client to work and move at a pace that is most comfortable for them. In addition to that I provide assignments after each session so that clients can learn to take their healing into their own hands with more confidence and with measurable results. Because of my history with bipolar recovery I have a particular interest in working with mental health issues.

The Trager Approach

The Trager Approach is a mind-body approach to movement education. It is a system of gentle, rhythmic movement and touch facilitating deep relaxation, increased physical mobility and mental clarity. To promote the body's optimal performance there are several aspects of the approach: one in which the client with clothes on, passively absorbs the movement of their body on a padded table and another aspect, in which the client is taught separate from the table work, to actively explore comfortable free movement for themselves, known as Mentastics.
Underlying to the basic aim of psychophysical integration in the Trager Approach, is a form of neuro-muscular re-education called Reflex Response. This aspect of Dr Trager's work actively involves the client in awakening the connection between their mind and body.
I qualified as a Trager practitioner in1988 and continue to find it a privilege to offer its benefits to clients. A medative approach by the practitioner underpins the work resulting in a deep sense of harmony engendered within the clients mind and body, a pre requisite for healing to occur.

Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a well proven system of natural medicine which uses remedies
derived from plants, minerals and other natural substances to stimulate your
body's self-healing capacity.
Homeopathy aims to treat disease at its roots, removing the cause of your
illness as well as the symptoms. It has a wide scope of application and can
be used to treat virtually any condition in the young and old alike.
I started training as a Homeopath in 1997 whilst working as a special needs
teacher. I currently
work with a mental health charity and am interested in mental health and
emotional problems in children and adults.
I also teach at the Contemporary College in Exeter and at a teaching clinic
in Clapham.

Reiki means Universal Life Energy, the vital life force which flows through
all living beings. A Reiki treatment is usually deeply relaxing and can be
subtle or very powerful, depending on what one needs at the time, and can
facilitate change. Reiki is hands on form of healing which is a nourishing
treat to yourself and brings love, harmony and balance to Mind, Body and
Soul- so go on 'treat' yourself!

Kate Bell
Reiki is a great passion of mine it has helped heal and transform my life,
enabling me to become more my true self and to trust my intuition. It is a
healing meditation that is continually changing and evolving. A treatment is
as much a joy to give as it is to receive. We give individual treatments but
also work together, offering a very unique opportunity to have a Reiki from
both of us. This 'Double Whammy' is proving to be very popular!

Creative Kinesiology
My enthusiasm for Creative Kinesiology started about 5 years ago when having had a lifetime of issues that had effected my happiness and health, and having tried many alternative therapies, some of which gave relief and support for a while, l came across Kinesiology through a therapist who was training in it herself and asked if I would be happy for her to practise on me. The therapist went on to teach it herself and I started my foundation training with her and went on to do the full Creative Kinesiology ' Way of the Tracker" course and qualified in 2009. The following year l qualified in Perceptual Bodywork, which works well as part of the Kinesiology treatment or stands alone as a treatment in it's own right.
A Kinesiology treatment would start with finding the issue that the person wishes to look at
which could be within the Physical, Emotional or Psychological realm. The basis of
Kinesiology is muscle monitoring which is to get biofeedback from the person's body
through gentle pressure which enables the practitioner to receive a positive or negative
response. This ensures the body receives exactly what it needs to bring back complete
balance on all levels of its being. Being "Creative" Kinesiology means there is the possibility to be taken to different times within this lifetime but could equally take us back to
previous lifetimes where a belief system or habit may have been established and carried
on down through subsequent generations unchecked. These issues may be cleared for
past and future lineage.

Shiatsu,
Chinese Herbs
Shiatsu is a
form of Japanese bodywork massage. It involves stimulating the channels and
points of acupuncture using different pressure, massage and stretching
techniques to stimulate changes in our energy system and return a person to
health. Shiatsu can restore vitality, reduce physical and emotional stress,
promote and maintain health and relieve a wide range of health conditions.
Chinese Herbal Medicine shares the same theoretical foundation as Chinese
Acupuncture. The diagnosis of your condition leads to the prescription of a
formula, tailor-made for an individual's treatment either as decoctions of
dried herbs or pills and tinctures made from these herbs. This approach is
holistic and is applicable for chronic or acute illness, and is suitable for
all ages. I have been a Shiatsu practitioner since 1996 and studied at the
Devon School of Shiatsu, passing the Shiatsu Society exams to be a
registered practitioner. My post graduate training has included Moxabustion,
Pelvic correction, Traditional Chinese Medicine, European Herbs, Tuina,
working with cancer and in pregnancy support. I graduated in Chinese herbal
Medicine at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading and am on
the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Craniosacral Therapy
I have been involved with Complimentary Medicine for several years. As well
as Craniosacral Therapy, I am also qualified in Holistic Massage,
Reflexology and Reiki Healing. I trained in Cranial Sacral Therapy with the
Craniosacral Educational Trust in London. I have also completed a
postgraduate course, specializing in Cranial for mothers and babies, which
is an area that is of particular interest to me. I am a Supervisor for the
Student Teaching Clinic in London on a part-time basis.
The gentle approach of this therapy is entirely non-invasive. It is suitable
for all ages from newborn babies to the elderly. The therapy can help to
identify and influence deeply held patterns of disease, which accumulate in
the body, as a result of physical and emotional stress. It is a 'hands on'
therapy that follows subtle innate movements within the body structure. It
is based on a number of findings about the body's subtle physiology, which
were made by Osteopaths in the USA nearly 100 years ago. The findings show
that every cell in a healthy body expresses a rhythmic movement which is
fundamental to life and which has been called Craniosacral motion. At the
core of the body the cerebrospinal fluid, which bathes and cushions the
brain and spinal chord, expresses this motion as a tide-like ebb and flow;
while bones, organs and other structures of the body each follow their own
particular pattern of movement within this. This motion is so subtle that it
is barely measurable with instruments. However, the hands of a trained
practitioner are able to perceive it. This gentle therapy uses no
manipulation. The practitioner listens via the hands, to what is going on in
the body, and facilitates the body's vital force to manifest and bring about
intrinsic change and reorganization. In this way the practitioner identifies
and treats pain or tensions held in the body. The treatment is suitable for
a variety of conditions.

NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming. ' A form of therapy designed to alter set patterns of thought and behaviour and increase self-awareness.

Person Centred Counselling. Bereavement Counselling.(+ Children) CRUSE trained.
I have had a lifelong interest in healing and have trained in many different aspects.
I integrate different techniques to suit the client's need. Having been the manager of a residential Crisis House in Ludlow, Shropshire, I have first-hand experience of mental health issues. My favourite book is The Healing Power of Illness. (The meaning of symptoms and how to interpret them). The patient is not the innocent victim of some quirk of nature, but actually brings about his or her own sickness. Symptoms are bodily expressions of psychological conflicts, able through their symbolism to reveal the patient's true problems.
I look forward to working with you.

The Bowen Technique
European College of Bowen Studies

The Bowen Technique is a gentle form of bodywork in which subtle moves performed over the muscles and connective tissue send messages deep into the body, promoting recovery and pain relief. It restores a sense of well-being, relaxation and balance. The Bowen moves are light, gentle and very precise. There are frequent but essential pauses throughout the session that allow the body time to respond and begin the healing process. The Bowen Technique is suitable for everyone, from babies, athletes, pregnant women to the elderly. It can assist recovery from many conditions, both physical and emotional.
I have trained in The Bowen Technique in 2009, after experiencing its benefits first hand on myself and my children. I am continually pleased at the healing effects this amazing technique offers.
I have done postgraduate training in Sports Injuries in 2010.
I have a personal interest in emotional well-being and have found that The Bowen sessions have helped many people find their way back to a positive way of living.

Candles
Reflexology
is a gentle, therapeutic, precise foot massage. Points on the feet (and
hands) correspond to every part of the body. These are stimulated by
pressure, sending an unconscious impulse to the body’s glands and organs.
Reiki is a natural, simple yet powerful healing technique transmitted
through the hands. It means Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy. Both these
therapies re-balance and support the body, mind and emotions, reducing
stress and help to promote deep relaxation and healing.
Bach Flower Remedies work on emotional negative issues helping to
restore harmony and happiness.
Hopi Ear Candles are a soothing treatment to assist many head and ear
problems. I incorporate Nutritional Advice, where appropriate. I often find
the therapies combine together supporting the whole body, not only in times
of illness, but also as a positive way to maintain and strengthen health and
well being.
I trained as a State Registered Nurse in Bristol and in more recent years
became increasingly aware of the benefits of Complementary Health Care. I
qualified as a Reflexologist in 1995 and as a Reiki Master Teacher in 1998.
I am an approved Reiki Teacher, deeply committed to updated the skills that
I practise and run regular courses at this Centre.

Alexander Technique
In young
children we frequently see an alertness and poise that allows them to sit,
stand and move gracefully without strain. Yet rarely do we see that same
poise continuing into adult life.
Most of us have developed habits which interfere with our natural
co-ordination and functioning which in turn leads to symptoms such as
headaches, backache, stiff neck, hypertension, excessive tiredness etc.
Alexander Technique lessons bring awareness to how we move and the way we
react to everyday stimulus. We can then respond with greater ease and in
such a way that prevents further problems.
Roger has been
teaching the Alexander Technique in Totnes and Plymouth for the last 13
years and also teaches at
Cortijo Romero
in Spain.

Acupuncture
Integrated
Chinese Acupuncture is a powerful and deep holistic system of medicine. It
is effective in treating a wide range of health conditions, including
headaches, stress, addictions, depression, insomnia, circulation and back
problems. By stimulation of certain points in the
body tissues close to the surface with very fine needles it helps a natural
and true healing to occur. A herbal heat treatment called Moxibustion is
sometimes used.
I began training in Sydney, Australia and continued in 1983 with the College
of Traditional
Acupuncture, UK. In June 2004 I completed a post graduate course at the
College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading. Married with a son and
three stepdaughters,
I am among the core founding group of the Bowden House Community near
Totnes.

TRADITIONAL ACUPUNCTURE
Many people
have found acupuncture to be safe, pain free and very beneficial in
conditions such as anxiety, arthritis, asthma, back pain and sciatica,
digestion and bowel conditions, headaches, menstrual problems, stress, sleep
problems or tiredness and lack of energy. Many people are surprised by the
range of health problems that acupuncture can treat with excellent results.
To balance the energy of body, mind and spirit, very fine needles are
inserted into points on the Meridians, the body's energy channels. The
effects of treatment can be felt immediately and benefits are accumulative
and increase with each regular treatment.
After my initial studies in Shiatsu massage and a background in care,
nursing and occupational therapy, I studied for three years at the College
of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa. I have helped to run an NHS
Detox clinic since it opened four years ago, and am privileged to serve as
Chairman of the Totnes Natural Health Centre. A devoted family man, I enjoy
four busy practices throughout Devon.

Core Process Psychotherapy and Counselling

As a senior student, I have completed the 3 years in Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute here in Devon, required by the Institute to carry out clinical work. Along with my training, as someone with a rich personal experience of the ups and downs of life, I welcome, and am readily able to empathise with, many different types of experience and feelings different individuals may bring.
Founded in 1982, Core Process psychotherapy was one of the first to be based on mindfulness practice. It combines Buddhist and Western psychotherapeutic principles and understanding. The basic premise of this work is that we all have an inner core that is healthy and knowing and, once accessed, can be a resource to maintain an equilibrium in the face of the struggles, upsets, anger, fears and sometimes just deep unhappiness in our lives.
I work by responding to my sense of the arising needs of each specific individual, rather than imposing a predefined pattern.
I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and abide by the Karuna Institute and ACPP Code of Ethics.
TREVOR NEWTON – MA, MBACP
Person Centred Counsellor
I undertook my training in person-centred counselling at the University of Chester, where I completed a postgraduate MA in Clinical Counselling. As part of the course I completed over 200 hours of client work at The Lesbian & Gay Foundation in central Manchester and at a GP surgery in Northwich. I moved to Totnes in 2012 and live in community at Bowden House.
My research dissertation explored how each of us creates an understanding of our world from the clues our parents and teachers give us, that our construction may differ slightly - or significantly - from that of our brother, sister or school friend and that this construction is what you, as a client, bring into the counselling room. The person-centred approach to counselling puts you, the client, in the driving seat as expert in your world, and gives you the time and space to examine your situation and explore in depth how you truly think and feel about what is problematic in your life. In the counselling sessions, I support you in your search for answers and positive ways forward that stem from the skills and abilities that exist within you.
Everyone brings different issues to counselling, from depression to anxiety, from sexual & emotional abuse to loss & bereavement, from health concerns to stress, from low self-esteem to relationship issues. I am happy to work with you whatever you bring.
I offer my counselling through the Totnes Natural Health Centre because I believe that counselling is a route to good mental health and that this should be available to everyone. I am a Member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

Herbal
Medicine
Herbal Medicine, one of the oldest forms of
healing, uses whole plant preparations to treat illness and maintain good
health. Almost any condition that someone might take to their GP can be
treated. Common complaints include digestive or skin problems,
gynaecological disorders, migraine, recurrent colds and flu, post viral
fatigue, asthma, anxiety to name a few. The herbalist aims to find the cause
of the problem and then chooses appropriate herbs to combine to create a
unique prescription for that person. The safety record of herbal medicine by
trained herbalists is excellent. Any age group can be treated and herbs can
be used alongside conventional medicine.
Much modern research has confirmed that herbs help stimulate and support the
body's own healing powers. Many promote the removal of toxins, nourish and
relax the body and enhance resistance to infections.
I studied for 4 years with The School of Herbal Medicine (Phytotherapy) and
became a member of the National Institute of Herbalists in 1986. I also
teach adult education classes on herbal medicine and am available for talks
and workshops.

ROB SIDOLI DSEH
Energy Healing
I'm going to
tell you a story. In 1992 I was a mess. Now I am not so messy (apart from
when I eat). When things couldn't get any lower or messier, I turned around.
I became a student of the Ascended Masters in 1992 and am become more aware
of this gift as I develop as a practitioner. I graduated in 2006 from the
School of Energy Healing, the principles of which were founded on the work
of Barbara Brennan, author of 'Hands of Light'.
I am fluent in all kinds of vibrational states and see blockages which, if
grace is with us, may be removed or dissolved back into the energy of life,
light, and love.
These blockages may be mental, emotional, or physical stretching back to
childhood or further to previous incarnations.
All that
happens and has happens is down to our belief systems. As Quantum physics
has proven, energy follows thought without exception. We can change those
belief systems, yes we can. I love what I do and I am very good at it,
honest. I look forward to working with you.

Osteopathy
and Reconnection Healing, Psychic Development
As an Osteopath
I primarily treat the structure and alignment of the body by combining
specific adjustment techniques with Cranial Osteopathy to create a very
powerful and potent mixture of treatment.
This can treat a wide variety of ailments such as headaches, whiplash or
post accident trauma as well as neuralgia, asthma, arthritis, irritable
bowel syndrome, sports injuries and sprains. The treatment can address
problems that may have had their roots in past traumas or have been
triggered by a recent strain.
Patients often find that not only do they return to normal after a short
course of treatment, but also that their posture has been dramatically
transformed.
As a practitioner with 25 years experience, I am also a healer and work with
guides on an energy level to give a reconnection healing which can treat all
ages, from newborn to the elderly, with often miraculous effects. You may
also attend regular Psychic Development workshops which I run at the Centre.
Smita Tomalin
Reflexology
Reflexology is a treatment giving the body and its organs complete attention
by working through the feet.
This technique of detailed yet gentle stimulation of all pressure points
offers relief for specific problems as well as complete toning and energy
boosting for the organs in the body.
I incorporate this with a deeply nurturing and relaxing foot massage which
ensures a feeling of let and go and well being on the physical and mental
level and an opportunity for the client to spend quality time with
him/herself in peace and quiet.
I did my reflexology training in New York in 1990 and have worked with it
ever since.
I am also a Reiki master and have completed a course in Veda-balance
Ayurvedic massage.
I am also a meditation teacher.
